ActiveSync ConnectionsActiveSync might not be able to connect for any number of reasons; it could be related to hardware problems or software conflicts. If ActiveSync isn’t working, MightySync won’t be able to work either. First of all, you should make sure you are using the latest version of ActiveSync, available from Microsoft’s website, click here to download. If you still can’t get your problem resolved, you can also try and post to one of the user forums on Usenet, microsoft.public.pocketpc, or try one of the web-based forums such as www.pocketnow.com. Regrettably MyDocsUnlimited can’t offer ActiveSync support, but most Pocket PC vendors are very helpful. ActiveSync PartnershipsMightySync requires that you have your Pocket PC connected as a Partnership with your desktop. The following shows the difference between a "Guest" and "Partnership" connection using ActiveSync.
If your Pocket PC is a Guest, you can change it to a Partner by disconnecting it (e.g., removing it from its cradle) and reconnecting it. You will get a dialog box asking you if you wish to set up a Partnership, choose either of the Partnership options and follow the setup wizard: For further information in setting up a Partnership, please take a look at Microsoft's website.
