Settings Explained

  • Setting "Sync on Connect" on will mean MightySync will sync all changed files automatically the moment you connect your device.
  • You can also set MightySync to automatically scan and resync while your device is connected.
  • Use the "Start When:" option to determine when you want MightySync to launch -- you can set this to launch when you start your computer, or when a device is connected, or only when you choose.
  • You can also get MightySync to close automatically when your device is disconnected.
This panel shows off one of MightySync's best features! Use this if you want to sync large pictures to your device, but want to reduce the size of the pictures to avoid taking up too much memory. Select "If larger than target format" to reduce pictures in size automatically. You can manually select the target size, or use the device's screen resolution automatically.

The option to reduce file sizes on text documents will process your text documents to remove bloat that is common with Microsoft .doc formats. The reason why .doc files are bloated is because they contain what is basically undo information (histories); using this MightySync option will remove this bloat and leave you with just the text.

Setting "Silent Sync" means you won't be disturbed by the sync progress dialog.

And finally, if you messed up and want to return to default choices, click on "Reset choices".
